(Warwick RI) - On Friday, February 20th the Bristol Bayhawks men's basketball team traveled to the Community College of Rhode Island for an NJCAA Region XXI matchup vs the Knights. Bristol got ahead early, leading 46-34 at halftime and finished with a 88-66 final score to end the regular season. The win clinched the playoffs and marks the third consective NJCAA Region XXI Tournament appearance for the Bayhawks.

 

Bristol's sophomore captains, William Winfield (East Providence RI) led the way with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Landon Cayton (Swansea MA) added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomores, Jason Andrews (Seekonk MA) had 16 points and 6 steals while Christ Lebrun (Natick MA) finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the victory for the Bayhawks.

 

Bristol will next travel to Northern Essex Community College on Wednesday, February 26th for the NJCAA Region XXI Tournament Quarterfinal against the defending champion Knights. Please follow our Bristol's athletics website and social media pages for all Bayhawks updates and news.
