(Springfield MA) - On Saturday, November 15th, the Bristol Bayhawks Women's basketball team traveled to Springfield Tech Community College to face the Rams in a Region XXI matchup. Bristol controlled the game, leading 35-9 at halftime and won with a 75-22 final score. The win marks the first for second year head coach Charles Hayes (Fall River MA) and first year assistant Patricia Britton (Dartmouth MA). The Bayhawks now start the season with a 1-1 overall record.
Freshman Jayda Martino (Fall River MA) exploded for 22 points, 13 steals, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. Freshman Charmya Hayes-Paullette (Fall River MA) had 20 points, 19 rebounds and 8 steals while sophomore Hayley King (Wareham MA) added 14 points and 16 rebounds in the victory for the Bayhawks.
